This summer, TMAF will take place in San Francisco to held all of the teaching, rehearsals and concerts on the campus of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM). Founded in 1917, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music is the oldest conservatory in the American West. Notable alumni include Yehudi Menuhin, Isaac Stern, Jeffrey Kahane and Aaron Jay Kernis. The Conservatory's new home in the heart of San Francisco's Civic Center has won many architectural and design awards, and its concert hall was lauded by The New York Times as the "most enticing classical-music setting" in the Bay Area.
